Weekday Christian Formation Programs for Adults
Kerygma Bible Study
The Kerygma Bible Study program is an on-going small group Bible study that has been offered for a number of years at St. Paul’s Church. No prior academic study is required; we welcome people from all stages on their theological journey!
Walk the Labyrinth
Labyrinths have long been use as meditation and prayer tools. Join us to walk our canvas labyrinth on the first Wednesday of each month, or just to drink in the peace and quiet of the evening. Each session is hosted by volunteers, ready to help you experience this time of prayer, meditation, movement and stillness.
Men’s Spirituality Group
Please join us each Thursday morning from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at The Academy Tavern, 12800 Larchmere Blvd., or as often as you are able, and be fed with fellowship, food, and the Holy Spirit. A copy of the book we are currently discussing can be purchased at the Thursday morning meeting. Contact: Richard Israel, Associate Rector
Education for Ministry
Education for Ministry is a program of theological education-at-a-distance of the School of Theology of the University of the South. Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program. It covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology. Students meet regularly, usually once a week, in seminars under the guidance of trained mentors. The program grants a certificate at the completion of the four years and 18 Continuing Education Units for each year’s work.
